YOUTH CLIMATE COMMITTEE MANDATE
- To assist as well as support the National Youth Climate Change Ambassadors in their joint platform that aims to empower, educate, enlighten, and expose young people on the various ways in which they can act against climate change, while providing insight into how to encourage people to take responsibility for their potentially damaging societal behaviours.
- To help to support, promote and provide opportunities for young people to learn from various outlets within the climate change community with the intent of engaging and enacting innovation against climate change.
- To aid in the organization, support and development of the National Youth Climate Change Conference set to take place on July 13th and 14th, 2023.
- To establish links with other community groups and external agencies on a national, regional, and international spectrum that aims to represent young people in Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), while taking into consideration the significance of The Bahamas as a Small Island Developing State (SIDS).
